TO VIEW ITEMS FOR SALE, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN PAST THE ROYAL DOULTON HISTORY SECTION:- 1815 - began as a trio partnership in Lambeth, London producing stoneware, bottles & pipes 1853 - John Doulton & his son Henry established themselves as Doulton producing stoneware leading on to production of sanitary ware 1881 - Doulton purchased Pinder, Bourne & Co in Burslem, Staffordshire now producing figurines, vases etc 1901 - the title 'Royal' was added by King Edward VII granting a Royal Warrant Popular ranges now included Flambe ware, Titanian ware 1922 - introduction of miniature Charles Dickens jugs 1960 - Royal Doulton introduced English Translucent China using cornish stone, china clay & calcined bone ash. 1991 - introduction of modern figurines 2004 - Production ceased |
