TO VIEW POOLE ITEMS FOR SALE, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN PAST THE POOLE POTTERY HISTORY SECTION: 1873 - Jesse Carter utilised local clay deposits and transported his goods produced by the 'Carter Company' via the harbour. 1880s - the pottery factory was well known for its production of tiles 1921 - Carter, Stabler & Adams (CSA) was set up as a subsidiary to produce ornamental & domestic pottery Famous designs include; 20-30s - Volacano & original Faience range/ early 30s Studland tableware followed by Purbeck then Streamline. Then came the 'Two-tone' colouring. After the WWII came the Galaxy range. 1940-50s - Freeform pieces by Alfred Read & Guy Syndenham are very sought after today as One-0ffs. 1950s Studio Ware 1960s Delphis range 1964 - became part of the Pilkington Group and then became known as Poole Pottery Ltd. 1970s Aegean range 1992 - became independant again and known as Poole Pottery (no Ltd) New ranges include: Contrast, Sienna, Olympus, Domino and Calypso.
